At Biyala Primary School, our Visual Arts program nurtures creativity, curiosity and self-expression while developing students’ artistic skills and confidence. Aligned with the Victorian Curriculum 2.0, students explore a range of materials, techniques and artistic practices while learning to plan, create and reflect on their work.

Through structured and predictable learning routines grounded in the Victorian Teaching and Learning Model (VTLM 2.0), teachers explicitly teach artistic skills and concepts, allowing students to experience success. Students learn to appreciate diverse perspectives, respond to artworks thoughtfully, and communicate ideas visually, supporting both creative thinking and deeper engagement in learning.
